After my sweet Benny Boo Bear passed away in March 2024, I was a complete wreck: I cried almost nonstop, my heart ached to the point that I was short of breath, and I was unable to focus or think about anything besides Benny. I was racked with guilt, wondering if something I’d done or a decision I’d made had caused his untimely death. Nothing helped ease my pain or negative thoughts until I started journaling about Benny and our precious time together. Those memories eventually morphed into Mommy’s Boy, a memoir that I plan to publish in 2025. Follow my writing journey at the locations listed below, where I’ll share snippets from the book, photos of Benny, and updates on my progress.
